Dan Parker joined Nsite (now STS) in 2007 as an Application Developer and has been subsequently promoted to Team Lead, Development Manager, Project Manager, and most recently to his current position as Director of Operations for our Software Development group. He also served as lead on the Recreation Information Database (RIDB) in support of the U.S. Forest Service, an effort that earned several Exceptional ratings in CPARS. Dan is in his element in an Agile environment and has served as Scrum Master and team lead in the past for our largest project – the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS).
Prior to joining our team, Dan worked an Application Developer in both the private and higher education industries. He began his professional career as a U.S. Marine, serving the Marine Barracks Hawaii as Corporal of the Guard and later as squad leader for a weapons platoon in the Fleet Marine Forces. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and a current Project Management (PMP) certification.
Dan is an avid outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast. When not training for or competing in triathlons, his wife and he can frequently be found outdoors trail riding with their horses, hiking, biking, and camping near their mini-farm in Summerfield, Florida as well as favorite outdoor destinations throughout the United States.
