Electrical Engineer

*This position is contingent upon the awarding of the contract which is expected in April 2021*


Our Engineering Team at Strategic Technical Services LLC currently has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer.

This position will assist in the performance of engineering duties including the planning of manufacturing, and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus, and will provide engineering analysis and evaluation of complex technical manufacturing problems, and provides the support needed to improve quality, productivity, and safety, and perform detailed calculations, operate computer assisted engineering and design software and ensure compliance with specifications, codes, standards and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine proper measures to resolve concerns and maintain performance
  • Support the renovation or upgrade of existing electrical systems or the build of new system. Conduct PDCA during design & implementation stage
  • Support the bidding process and contractor selection for the design and construction phase of a project and present decision to management
  • Determine and prioritize project tasks and develop project schedule and timelines to achieve targets and final goals for projects (on time and within budget)
  • Review and verify electrical engineering drawings at the various design completion levels. Work with contractors throughout the different phases of a project
  • Assist with the development of electrical products by studying customer requirements
  • Provide support to experienced engineers as needed
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related goals as needed
  • Complete various checks on the parts, recommend needed changes, complete approved changes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain or maintain Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Working knowledge of the NEC
  • Must be able to work with others in a team environment
