Rich Castellano

Richard Castellano currently serves as STS’ Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Operations. Prior to joining the STS team, he worked with TeleCommunications Security Solutions (now a subsidiary of Comtech), as Sr. Vice President of Finance and Business Operations. Richard took on this challenge to assist the president of TeleCommunications Government Solutions prepare this smaller, yet successful, organization for the sale and transition to Comtech. The acquisition closed in January 2016 with a completed transition in July 2016. Prior to TeleCommunications, Richard retired after a successful 31-year career with Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems and Global Solutions (IS&GS) serving as CFO of the Global Solutions Civil programs. This division specialized in providing civil technical solutions developed for domestic application to the global community, such as aviation air-traffic en-route automation, energy solutions, security, and IT solutions. During his tenure with Lockheed, Richard served in a variety of capacities, including CFO for Transportation Solutions (2013-2013), CFO for the Enterprise Information Technology Solutions division of IS&GS where he was responsible for business operations and leadership for the IT group (2011), as Controller, responsible for managing the business operations of the entire Civil organization of IS&GS (2009-2011),  CFO of Electronics Systems Transportation and Security Solutions (2007-2009), and Deputy CFO of the International Launch services, a joint venture providing international satellite launches. Other positions held during his time with Lockheed include Controller, Director, Finance and Risk Management, Director, Finance Space System, Manager, New Business, Cost control, Estimating, Division Independent Cost Estimating (ICE). Mr. Castellano has more than 36 years of experience in the defense and military industry. He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland University College in International Business, and a bachelor’s in Business Administration from The Ohio State University’s Fisher School of Business.
