Computer/Electrical Engineer – Level – 3-4 (US Citizen, must be onsite at Crane Indiana)

Duty Statement

This position is for a level 3-4 electrical engineer who will be supporting the Hardware Cyber Security Branch within the Trusted and Assured Microelectronics Division. In this role, the contractor will be serving as an Engineer/Scientist supporting various customers which include USN, USAF, and other OGA programs. The main focus would be continuing development of the Trust_Me tool for Integrated Circuit verification at the transistor/gate level.

 

Major duties include:

-Proficient in C++ coding implementing image processing algorithms for large image data sets.

-Proficient in being able to manipulate many types of image formats, .jpg, .tiff, .png etc.[nda] good to have, not necessary

-Identification of new testing methodologies/image processing algorithms.[nda] good to have, not necessary

– Perform software regression testing and quality assurance software code reviews -author, review, and follow prescribed software engineering processes.

 

Competencies

-Software engineering using a variety of software languages, including C++,C#, Java and Windows SDK and control tools, such as JIRA, GIT, Fisheye, and others

-Knowledge and understanding of Graphical User Interfaces and how to design/implement.

– Knowledge of Software Engineering and Software Assurance and the ability to plan, implement and improve software best practices within existing DoD projects is required.

– Overall understanding of microcomputer systems including operating systems, mass storage management systems and data base management systems.

-Knowledge of stitching image tiles together to form a large stitched mosaic image for data processing.

– Knowledge of operations in the Linux, UNIX, and Microsoft Windows environments, including command shells, remote commands, vi text editor, and understanding of file and directory management.

-Knowledge of implementing computer vision algorithms to find similar shapes and features in images.

-Ability to write scripts to parse very large text files and group commonly labeled values.

-Ability to support technical design reviews

-Familiarity with specialized IA-enabled applications used for analysis and maintenance of networked environments highly desired.

 

Other Requirements

Candidate must obtain and hold a collateral SECRET security clearance and must work on base at Crane.
